What the official text confirms

Recommended Role Split

Driver

Plans the route between biomes, watches power and fuel, marks campsites.

Builder

Owns van layout: workstations, storage, cooking, sleeping. Avoids over-decoration early.

Gatherer

Runs ahead at each stop, collects nodes, flags rare resources for the team.

Cook / Caretaker (4-player only)

Handles food, pet, comfort upgrades and morale. Most underrated role for long sessions.

Top Mistakes That Wreck Co-op Runs

  1. Everyone crafts independently — duplicates, wastes shared materials.
  2. No agreed direction (power vs storage vs farming) → no module gets finished.
  3. Driver leaves before gatherers return → loot lost on the road.
  4. Building decoration before utility — looks great, kills van performance.
